What is the harvest window for Star anise, and how does it affect quality?
We are planning a Star anise purchase from Guangxi and want to time it with the harvest.The window is August-October. Inside the window you get the widest grade choice; outside it you are buying stored stock, and for Star anise the stored lot usually shows volatile oil and mould.
