What is the harvest window for Sesame seed, and how does it affect quality?

We are planning a Sesame seed purchase from Henan and Hubei and want to time it with the harvest.

The window is August-September. Inside the window you get the widest grade choice; outside it you are buying stored stock, and for Sesame seed the stored lot usually shows purity and moisture.
