How freight rates move an FOB quote
Reminder for new buyers: an FOB quote is not affected by freight, but the CFR number you compare against can move weekly. Always ask for the freight rate and validity separately so you can see what actually changed. We now send quotes as a small table: product price, freight, validity, and the index each leg tracks. Buyers stopped asking why the total moved.
