Is Chestnut from Qianxi, Hebei in season, and does the season change the price?
We are planning a purchase of Chestnut and want to understand the season before fixing a delivery window.The season is September-October. Buying inside the harvest window gives you the widest size and grade choice; buying out of it means either cold-store stock or a premium. For Chestnut the out-of-season premium is usually 8-15%, and the grade consistency is worse.
