Phytosanitary certificate: what actually delays shipments at the port?
We keep seeing 2-4 day delays at loading port. What are the usual causes?Three causes in our experience: (1) the consignment is split across lots but the certificate is issued for one lot; (2) the declared botanical name differs from the certificate; (3) the inspection is booked after the container is already at the terminal, so the box misses the vessel. Book inspection before stuffing.
